This box is made from a solid piece of Mango wood. It was first turned into a sphere then parted in half and hollowed. The rings were also cut on the lathe using a technique called Lattice turning. Delicate slices are carved into the wood in opposing patterns. The final product is similar to a woven basket. The rings were then interlocked and carved into a continuous snake, hence the name Lattisss. Lattisss comes with its own stand made from Sapele wood.
